Summary:

This retrospective review evaluated the use of 14-day MCOT patches (Zio AT) applied at ED discharge and compared arrhythmia detection, compliance, and outcomes with national data from other clinical settings to assess the ED’s effectiveness as a site for initiating monitoring.

Key Findings:

Patient compliance and wear time found to be remarkably similar in ED compared to other settings affirming that ED remains viable and effective location for initiating ACM.
