Authors: Zak Loring, MD, Peter Hanna, MD, and Cara N. Pellegrini, MD.

Summary:

Retrospective analysis on 14 day ECG monitors looking at optimal monitoring duration of PVC burden.

Key Findings:

  • PVC burden varies day to day.
  • Median time to detect individual’s max PVC burden was 6 days.
  • 75% of burden found in 24 hours for those with >20% burden, while only 53% found in 24 hours for those with >10 % burden and continually increased throughout 14-day monitoring period.
