Examined how AF burden measured by continuous ambulatory monitoring relates to the risk of ischemic stroke or arterial thromboembolism in adults with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.

Key Findings:

  • AF burden ≥ 11.4% led to a more than 3x increase in ischemic stroke or TE events independent of known stroke risk factors.
